When long-time friend and creative collaborator Thiel Brand Agency approached Jared Petrie of Trie House Productions with a special request, it was more than just another video project — it was a tribute. Thiel sought to create a cinematic, emotionally charged video for Walters Buildings that would channel the spirit and storytelling power of the legendary Paul Harvey “God Made A Farmer” piece. The result was “God Made A Builder”, a moving dedication to the builders, laborers, and tradespeople who help shape America from the ground up.
The Process
Working closely with Thiel and the Walters Buildings team, Jared Petrie spearheaded the design, production, and editing of the video. Combining carefully curated stock footage with original visuals captured by both Trie House Productions and Walters’ internal team, the project came to life through thoughtful creative direction and meticulous post-production work.
Jared’s creative editing approach was central to the final piece — expertly aligning visuals with a powerful narrative voiceover and a cinematic score to evoke pride, resilience, and gratitude. The layered combination of stock and original footage enabled the video to showcase both sweeping Americana landscapes and intimate, authentic moments of builders at work, seamlessly blending to deliver a unified, emotional story.
